The Dow, S&P and NASDAQ are still largely restricted by their upper pressure curves for the second day in a row (with the S&P being the only one to manage to close slightly above its curve). This, coupled with the fact that today represents a minor time-pressure day has the odds stacked in favor of a negative day for the US markets.
